Anders Lund Hoyer

Anders Lund Hoyer, 26 years, 197 cm, 86 kg, Odense.

I started playing volleyball in 1998 in DHG Odense. Summer of 1999 was my first year on the beach and I started in the juniors division. I won the Danish Junior Championship in 1999, 2000, 2001 and 2002. In 2003 I won the Danish Senior indoor Championship with DHG Odense. In 2004 I got my first podium finish as senior on the Danish beach tour and I have played full time beach since then. This was made possible with the opening of an indoor beachvolleyball court in Odense which provided the oppurtunity to train beachvolley all year around. On top of that I have been in Australia on trainingcamps every winter since 2006. I teamed up with Bo in 2006 and we have been on the podium every year at the Danish Championships with gold medals for the last two years and hopefully many more years to come

Besides my beachvolleyball carrier I study part time in cooperation with the Sports Elite Institute on University of Southern Denmark. I have a BA in Sports and I am currently studying physics.

In my spare time I like to spend time with my girlfriend, family and friends. I like to go to the movies, watch sports; preferably live but also on TV, play games and cards or cook and enjoy a nice dinner.

Beach volleyball achievement’s:
International:

- No. 1 in Milano FIVB Challenger 2007.

- 2 x Silver medal Australian Championship.

- 2 x in top 10 and 16 x in top 25 on the FIVB World Tour.

- 17th in the World Championship 2009.

- 9th at the European Championship 2008.

- 1 x 5th, 3 x 7th and 2 x 13th on the CEV European Tour.

- New South Wales Open Champion.

- Queensland Open Champion.

- South Australia Open Champion.

- King of the Beach Adelaide.

Denmark:

- 2 x Danish Champion (2009, 2008).

- 1 x Silver Danish Championship (2007).

- 3 x Bronze Danish Championship (2006,2005,2004).

- No.1 on the Danish seedning list 3 years.

- Won 21 Danish Tour tournaments.

Indoor volleyball:

- Danish Champion for DHG Odense (2003)

- Nordic Champion for Denmark U18 (2000)

- Voted MVP in Nordic Champioship U18 (2000)
